INCT - Hympar
National Institute of Science and Technology of Hymenoptera Parasitoids INCT-HYMPAR is a center for research and management of Brazilian biodiversity, designed to support efforts for its knowledge and to promote its sustainability. The Institute works under the premise that the best way to conserve biodiversity is to study it, value it and take advantage of the opportunities it offers to improve the quality of life of man. It is an organization that involves universities, companies, research institutes and other national and international public and private entities.
The work will be developed mainly in the following areas of action: Inventory and monitoring; Conservation; Bioinformatics; Bioprospecting and Communication and Education.
Among these, our goal includes Communication and Education actions, which aim to bring information and knowledge of biodiversity to different segments of the community, seeking to raise awareness about the value of biodiversity. These activities will be achieved through extension projects that will seek to strengthen the environmental component of actions and decisions of the population.
Main Goal
To promote knowledge about the value of biodiversity, stimulating its conservation and improving the quality of life of man.
